Thursday, February 16, 2006 i shudder to think what would have happened if my nano batteries weren't dead and i hadn't heard that oncoming silver matrix... :( ppl need to learn to drive less recklessly when it's slippery on the road! posted @ 11:21:00 p.m.[] + + + Wednesday, February 15, 2006 you feed other people's parking meters, you encourage the eating of ice cream, and you would somersault in the sand with me. ~ somersault, zero 7 ft. sia furler happy valentine's day, sweetheart. prairie vole you always... <3 (i tells ya, there's nothing that says "i love you" quite like a large slab of medium-rare prime rib with all the fixin's - plus snails :p of course, the absolutely perfect gift he made for me helped, as well... :D ) had a really nice day today despite the mind-numbingness of biochem and med chem - which is both mind-numbing and difficult to follow! {sob...} we had a funny lecture on herpes today in micro ("what's the difference b/t true love and herpes? herpes lasts forever.") and now i am totally paranoid over catching herpes type 1 (the cold sore/non-STD variety). seriously, apparently over 70% of the world's population have herpes simplex 1! granted, HSV-1 isn't too bad - it's just cold sores on the lip - but i still would rather not get it. the only problem is that some of the time, transmission is through contact with a person who is actuasymptomatic. if you shake hands is a healthy person, chances are that you could get herpes. in fact, i bet most of you already have herpes. so please don't touch me. in happier news, except for a micro lab and 2 panels (atopic dermatitis, athletes foot) and an assignment that i'm going to put off 'til tmw morning before i head to class, i am now home-free for two weeks for school! i just had my pharmaceutical care exam yesterday, so now i can rest a little. however, if any of you have questions on seborrhea (greasy yellow dandruff-like flakes)/contact or diaper dermatitis (i keep thinking about that csi episode on infantilism)/insect stings or bites/pressure ulcers/wound care/dressings/herbals/homeopathy/contraception *wink wink*, feel free to ask me about it! reading week!!!!!!! who's back, and when are we getting together? :p fellowship stuff: delta's coming over this friday for our urban retreat '06. i think this means i actually need to clean my room and the basement (my second room, practically) before everyone comes... anyone wanna help? pleeeeease? :( also, our book club small group is meeting this coming monday for our second chronic(what?)cles of narnia session - if you're interested in coming, please read the horse and his boy and prince caspian. two new addictions: gray's anatomy (dave, please get the rest of the episodes for me please!!!) and THE OFFICE! i absolutely adore the latter - the secondary characters are what makes the show so great (i especially love kevin and stanley). this week's best quote has to come from dwight's reply to pam on what he thinks is a thoughtful, romantic valentine's gift: "you mean, like, a ham?" ham is good, dwight, but steak is better.<3 hugs and kisses, tiffy p.s. sorry for the rather liberal use of italics. emily's mr. carpenter would be exasperated. p.p.s. i also apologise if i suddenly log off my msn without saying bye to you. my internet and msn are experiencing some technical difficulties. :( posted @ 12:12:00 a.m.[] + + + Saturday, February 11, 2006 i feel so much better now. :) hrm, maybe i should ditch the alarm clock completely and just wake up every day whenever i feel like it. posted @ 1:46:00 p.m.[] + + +
somebody remind me to buy a dependable travel alarm clock. posted @ 1:26:00 a.m.[] + + + |
