update continued:

i quit shoppers and my last day is going to be this coming sunday. the people there were nice (stop asking me if they are hot, brandon!) and i liked them alot, but i'm glad that i'll finally have my weekends free again. or will they be free? on saturdays, i'm going to be learning accupuncture and some chinese massage therapy, which is pretty cool. plus, i'm still trying to see if i can volunteer/job-shadow or interview pharmacists to get a better understanding of the field. oh right, here's the other big news: i got into the pharmacy program at UT. :) i found out on tuesday night and we're supposed to respond by july 5th - less than two weeks! i still don't know what i want to be or what my passion in life is yet, so prayers would be greatly appreciated.

oh, so the funniest thing happened at work today. after lunch time, kathy and annette called me to the switchboard to ask me a question. when i arrived there, i saw one of those small styrofoam take-out containers with a "fong zhao" (chicken foot/claw) in it. for those of you who aren't chinese, chicken feet are a common sight at dimsum, so i didn't really think too much of it. when they asked me if the foot meant anything, i told them no, it didn't mean anything weird or unusual. but then they closed the container and that's when i saw this name scrawled across the top of the container, and a business card with a letter opener stabbed right through it! honestly, at first i though it was a little knife, and it looked pretty ominous! i mean, for the other people there (who weren't chinese), it probably looked pretty freaky... a stabbed box with a claw in it?! i think they might have thought it was some sort of voodoo, hex or threat! i found out later that this guy who brought it was unhappy with one of our other divisions and i guess he kinda flipped out...? apparently he just came in, not wanting to see any of the people he normally dealt with, gave reception the box and then punctured the carton with a grin. and they say exciting things don't happen at the office... :p

tommorrow should be a fun day, though probably not as eventful as today! i'm going to lunch with jonathan, kristen, and ashley (some other students from work). after work, i think i'm going to meet up with brandon before delta and hopefully get a chance to catch up. i miss that kid. :p

remember those good ol' days when i would blog, like, 5 times a day? :p

no interesting news articles or anecdotes to tell you today, just a little update. things have been pretty good lately - i'm currently writing this blog at the office, and things there have been quite good. i really like working there b/c everybody there is so nice and i have a lot of fun. the only thing is that i feel a little left out sometimes b/c it seems like everybody else here has somebody to call and chat with for half-an-hour (or sometimes more). so i'm sending this little request out to those who aren't working during the day (or have a lot of free time during work :p) haha, so send me your phone numbers, ok?

oh wait, update you guys later... have to go back to work.
