ok, quick show of hands: how many of you have previously woken up and found that you were oriented the wrong way on your bed??? b/c i woke up in a tangle of blankets this morning and found my feet lying right by my pillows. i'm usually in the habit of using my pillows for my head, so i must say that i was a little surprised since i would have remembered if i had gotten up in the middle of the night to use the facilities... oh well, this has happened to me a few times - i was either really, really tired last night and crashed that way, or i sleepwalk. [if true, i wonder what i'd do in that state...] hrm. or maybe somebody came into my room last night and decided to rearrang-- i've said too much now.

the past weekend was really, really busy. had our relay for life on friday/saturday - i'm proud to say our team raised over $1600 for the cancer society! yay!! i was so impressed by the outpouring of generosity by my friends - you guys are awesome! i had a really great time staying up all night (didn't even nap!), walkin' and talkin' with friends, playing carcassonne, eating stik-o's for breakfast, and singing the indiana jones theme for no reason... :p

got back home at 7am and slept for 2 hours before getting ready for amy's convocation. despite the fact that it was a convocation (and was thus extremely boring) and that the high, wide-gapped, handrailing-less bleachers are a lawsuit waiting to happen when someone faaaaaaaaaaalllllllls [thud], i still had fun. (heh. we ended up rating the asian guys/girls at 'loo. "so... quad-dub worthy?") anyway, CONGRATS to AMES, mike, and nelson for graduating!!! i'm very proud of you!!!

the hui's had a bbq and we played carcassonne that evening:
- "we'll have a chat-to-chat..."
- "it's sink-or-die time!" "ummm, ju?"
- "I THOUGHT WE WERE IN AN ALLIANCE?!?!"

sunday was father's day. the afternoon wasn't very fun, but thankfully everything turned out to be fine by the end of the night. we went to chinatown for dinner with my family and grandpa... got fleeced by the restaurant ("it's very good tonight! very fresh!") and ended up eating this $108 (!!!) grouper! the heck?! darn those crafty chinese! :p we were just a tad surprised when the bill came... but s'ok, it was tasty and my grandpa really loved it - even after eating most of the fish we still had, like, 2lbs worth of leftovers... it was big, yo.
