funny story:

ju, i believe i have done something today that rivals your own fire mishap story... you know that phrase "it never rains but it pours"? well, on a scale of one to ten, i'd say that today ranked about 12 (typhoon territory). so i haven't really done that much studying today, although i've been pretty busy... let's just say that my day included the overflowing of a sink and semi-flooding of the bathroom floor - oh, and did i mention a small fire in the kitchen? yeah, it's a good thing grace doesn't read this blog... luckily, i've got it all cleaned up and everything is back to normal... except that the apartment's actually much cleaner than normal and it's missing a spoon and a bowl. actually, i'm keeping the unusable spoon as a testament to my own stupidity, but the bowl is no way salvageable - what with it being completely melted and such. it melted onto a stove element and it took me quite a while to get it off (with the help of a hammer - i really pounded it)... surprisingly, if you look at it now, there's no trace of burnt plastic or severe hammer marks on it...

goodness. an interesting day, by far. but strangely, i'm still in a good mood... i think God's helping me take all things that come my way with good humour instead of freaking out or sulking.

and now if you'll excuse me, i've gotta go shower b/c i just noticed that i have a fine layer of soot on my skin (no joke). but a note before i go: always make sure you've turned on the correct stove element, and never leave it unattended - even if you're just supposed to be boiling water... :S

two other notes:
1. so i just logged on to my epson photo account and they changed it a bit - up at the top, there was a brigh red bar telling me that i was using 271% of my 100 mb limit! ooops! (in my defense, there wasn't a limit before...) i've opened up a new account where i'll post new pictures there (and still keep my old one), but i'm going to be deleting some not as popular albums/pics off the old account... anyways, you've been forewarned... just message me if there are any deleted pics that you want, ok?
